The Steels bring in second player this week

Steels add strength to midfield

Stocksbridge Park Steels have signed Sam Finlaw from Staveley Miners Welfare F.C.

Finlaw is a midfielder who as well as playing for Staveley, has also competed for the likes of Clipstone, Sheffield FC and Handsworth Parramore. He also had a trial with Chesterfield in 2013.

Stocksbridge fans will be hoping to see more of what Finlaw was able to do last Saturday at the Eco Power Environmental Stadium. In a 3-0 win over Knaresborough Town, Finlaw scored a screamer that any player no matter the level would have been proud of.

Finlaw becomes Stocksbridge’s second signing this week after bringing in Tom Whiting from Guiseley ahead of the match against Newcastle Town last Saturday. Finlaw could make his debut on Saturday with the away trip to Chasetown.
