Lewis Whitham has left Stocksbridge Park Steels and has signed for NPL East rivals Liversedge.
Whitham is a product of the Stocksbridge academy and his breakthrough into the first team has been a point of pride for the club. He has appeared seventeen times this season, the joint most out of anyone, and has scored five goals in all competitions.
Stocksbridge manager Ian Richards said: “We wish Lewis all the very best at Liversedge, he felt it was too good an offer and opportunity to turn down. In the short time we have been at the club we have seen the quality and potential that he possesses. He goes with our best wishes and knows he is welcome to return if the move doesn’t quite work out.”
