he Emirates FA Cup third round qualifying draw was made on Tuesday, following last weekend’s ties in the second round qualifying stage.
We have been drawn at home against Northern League side Ashington AFC. They have already knocked out Northern Premier Division Ashton United and at weekend knocked out Conference North side Bradford Park Avenue so it will be a massive game that both teams wanting to progress to the 4th Qualifying round. Which for Stocksbridge would be for only the 2nd time in our history.
With 40 ties drawn out at this stage, the next round is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October.
There are a number of second round qualifying ties still to be resolved with replays scheduled across this week.
Winning clubs in the third round qualifying will collect £5625 from the FA Cup prize fund, while the losing clubs will also exit the competition with £1875.
